The four sheetmetal screws are included in the kit for attaching the K&N base plate to the adapter box, but we didn't like the idea of the sharp edges sticking down below the filter base because they could snag wires or hoses, and our fingers during maintenance. We replaced them with 1/4-20 bolts and ny-lock nuts.
